700hp Holden Stroker Engine
This
is one of the toughest Holden stroker engines ever made. There is no
machine work to do or any parts that are needed to be purchased as it has
the absolute best parts money can buy. You could, if you wanted, replace
the timing chain for a new adjustable belt drive or the water pump for an
electric one but that would purely be personal preference
If you have been looking at building a serious motor you will know what
the parts are worth and that this engine is the best value you will ever
get. To purchase the parts alone and have the machining done you would be
spending in excess of $70,000 so the price it is for sale for is extremely
cheap.
The engine was pulled apart to increase the horsepower and plans changed
so it was never put back together. All the machine work was done and the
pistons are there ready to go.

With
the original pistons at 12.5 comp this engine made 703hp
on the engine dyno but
with more development it has even more scope.
I was personally in the car the motor was fitted to and saw it spin to
over 9000rpm on a number of occasions. This was accurate too because the
tacho had only just been recalibrated by General Auto Instruments a week
before
All the hard work is done and it is currently in bits for inspection
For anyone who is genuinely interested I am more than happy for you to
bring any tools for measuring or testing (within reason naturally)
There has been in excess or $70,000 spent on parts alone and if you have
been pricing up any sort of similar engine you will know how cheap this is

The
mounting bracket has been cad plated to avoid any surface rust from
scratches
The gilmer drive was specially made 40mm wide (usually 50mm) to allow
extra clearance between crank brace and radiator which allows room to fit
twin thermo fans on the radiator. The top pulley is a 28 tooth and I also
have a 32 tooth
The cooler was made as big as possible to fit between the bumper bar
support brackets and lines up perfectly with the bottom of the grille and
the bottom of the bumper bar. The end tanks are hand made smoothed alloy
– no, it’s not a Chinese copy
The cooler has 3-inch inlet and outlets and all the pipe work is 3-inch as
well. The pipe running from the blower to the cooler is mandrel bent
stainless steel. The pipe that runs from the blower up through the battery
tray is also 3-inch mandrel bent stainless steel.
From there the pipe that runs up to the COME manifold is smoothed and
polished 3-inch mandrel bent alloy.
All connecting hoses are proper high-pressure turbo hoses with nut and
bolt clamps used throughout. The blo-off valve has a mounting point on the
top alloy pipe so it’s neatly out of the way yet is easy to access.
The pipe that runs up through the battery tray area has a 25mm flange
running right around it with a matching top ring so once it’s installed
it can not move or rattle and the top alloy pipe or intercooler can be
removed without any issues. All ends are swaged to increase clamping.
The intake pipe from the back of the blower is painted steel and was
originally off Robert Vickery's ute when it was making 800rwhp with the
blower. It is tucked in tight to allow maximum clearance from the inner
guard and runs around close to the blower itself towards the back of the
headlight and is 4-inches in diameter.
At the end of the intake pipe there is a mandrel bent 4-inch stainless
steel pipe that connects to the intake pipe from the blower and also has a
25mm flange running right around it with a matching ring to lock it to the
inner guard so it cant rattle. The K&N filter then attached to the
underside of the pipe.
The set up currently makes 692rwhp at 17 psi on a 372 cube stroker (on
straight pump gas). This can be used on a standard, or mild, engine with
lower boost but would be best suited to a worked engine (or one that’s
getting done)
ONLY $8,500ono
Still on the car and can be inspected before purchase
